Researching for our Insect Reports with our 8th Grade Friends

Each student chose an insect to study. They read a nonfiction book about their insect and used a website for additional information. The 8th grade English class helped us take notes. We used our notes to write a short report and to make a diagram of our insect. We are very proud to have completed our first research project, just like real scientist do!

Homecoming

Thank You Mrs. Limbert

Every Friday the first graders write thank you notes to someone who helps them. We have already written notes to the cooks, the bus driver, Mrs. Wells, and Mrs. Dicks. This is a picture of use surprising Mrs. Limbert with our thank you cards.

Writing Notes with the Spanish Students

Today we decorated butterflies to send to Mexico. These butterflies will spend the winter with a classroom of students, and in the spring we will receive a new group of butterflies. The high school Spanish students helped us write notes to the children who will care for our butterflies during the winter.
