Katie the BV County Naturalist shared a lesson on Monarch Butterflies. Our Painted Lady Butterflies hatched and we set them free. Our caterpillar crafts also turned into butterflies.

Our Friday Football Reader for this week was my son, Jason Hess.

We have been studying the life cycle of a butterfly. We painted egg cartons to make a caterpillar or larva.

Our caterpillars each made their own chrysalis.

The chrysalis are hanging in our room. They should be emerging as butterflies in about 7 days.
