Newell-Fonda first graders were collecting data for Common Core Standard 4. Organize, represent, and interpret data with up to three categories; ask and answer questions about the total number of data points, how many in each category, and how many more or less are in one category than in another.
One of the Common Core Standards for first graders is:   Standard 4. Organize, represent, and interpret data with up to three categories; ask and answer questions about the total number of data points, how many in each category, and how many more or less are in one category than in another. Newell-Fonda first graders collected their data by using tally marks to represent the number of vehicles that drove by us.
Katie the BV County Naturalist shared a lesson on Monarch Butterflies. Our Painted Lady Butterflies hatched and we set them free. Our caterpillar crafts also turned into butterflies.
