Newell-Fonda first graders were collecting data for Common Core Standard 4. Organize, represent, and interpret data with up to three categories; ask and answer questions about the total number of data points, how many in each category, and how many more or less are in one category than in another.

Newell-Fonda first graders collected their data by using tally marks to represent the number of vehicles that drove by us.

Katie the BV County Naturalist shared a lesson on Monarch Butterflies. Our Painted Lady Butterflies hatched and we set them free. Our caterpillar crafts also turned into butterflies.
