Super Scientist Z. J.
Our Super Scientist showed us how to make an egg float. By putting salt in a glass of water he was able to make the egg float. He then showed us that the egg did not float in plain water. Z. J. was an awesome Super Scientist!
He looks very excited about his experiment! The other students seemed very engaged, glad they are "owning" their learning even in 1st grade. Great job Mrs. Hess!
I'm so excited about this! How do the students choose their experiments? I'm sending Soulinda to ask questions for an article for the paper, but would you mind if we put this as a "Student Corner" in the paper for the next couple weeks?

ReplyDeleteHe was so proud of himself, just as I was of him. He even showed his Nana and Papaw when he got home from school. :)
